The next phase of BigChange\u2019s\u00a0develpment was to drive additional growth within the UK and\u00a0expand into new markets such as the US, Europe and Asia Pacific.\u00a0BigChange needed to plan and understand how to achieve and\u00a0support their goals from a financial, forecasting and cashflow\u00a0point of view.<\/p>\n<h2>What we did<\/h2>\n<p>We started working with the founder, Martin Port and his management\u00a0team in 2019 to fully understand the BigChange strategy and to get\u00a0the numbers in place to generate a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.langricks.com\/strategic-services\/financial-modelling\/\">forecast model<\/a> unique to their\u00a0business and to reflect their growth plans<\/p>\n<p>We helped the team develop the key drivers of the model to ensure there\u00a0was robust data to support each assumption. We looked closely at the\u00a0needs of the business to account for growth in new customers, including\u00a0making sure enough additional tech resource for development and\u00a0support teams were costed.<\/p>\n<p>With a solid <a href=\"https:\/\/www.langricks.com\/strategic-services\/financial-modelling\/\">financial plan<\/a> in place to achieve the business\u2019s vision,\u00a0we were then able to present the business ready for investment. We\u00a0worked closely with KPMG and helped them with the data required\u00a0for the information memorandum and getting the business to market.<\/p>\n<p>To attract private equity investment we converted the presentation of\u00a0the business from UK GAAP to illustrative IFRS and helped advise\u00a0on the normalised working capital and deal completion mechanism.<\/p>\n<h2>Results<\/h2>\n<p>BigChange secured a \u00a375m capital investment from Great Hill\u00a0Partners, the firm behind Wayfair, ZoomInfo and Reward Gateway,\u00a0to drive further growth and innovation. With founder Martin\u00a0retaining a significant minority stake in the company, which was\u00a0valued at \u00a3100m. This investment allows the business to move\u00a0forward into the next phase of development as planned.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\"
