If other directors or PSCs within your business haven\u2019t received this notification, please ensure it is forwarded to them as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Verify Your Identity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Directors and PSCs can complete the verification process now by visiting:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/verify-your-identity-for-companies-house\">Verify your identity for Companies House &#8211; GOV.UK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll need a Gov.UK One Login account to complete this process.<\/p>\n<p>If you require support, the following helplines are available:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Verification queries<\/strong> (Gov.uk): 0303 123 4500 (option 1)<\/li>\n<li><strong>One Login queries<\/strong> (Gov.uk): 0300 373 9020<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Your Companies House Personal Code<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once your identity is verified, Companies House will issue you with a personal verification code, for example:<\/p>\n<p>XV4-JW63-2823<\/p>\n<p>This code is personal to you (not the company).<\/p>\n<p><strong>What Happens If You Don\u2019t Verify<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Failure to verify your identity by 18 November 2025 may have serious legal and operational consequences.<\/p>\n<p>You will not be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>File documents with Companies House<\/li>\n<li>Start a new company or entity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you do not comply with the identity verification requirements on time, you may be committing an offence and could face financial penalties or fines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For Directors<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Continuing to act as a director without verifying once the legal requirement is in place will be an offence.<\/li>\n<li>You may face disqualification.<\/li>\n<li>Both the company and all directors could be held liable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For PSCs<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Acting as a PSC without verification may result in committing an offence.<\/li>\n<li>Penalties may apply until the requirement is met.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Why This Matters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This change is part of the UK government\u2019s wider reform to increase corporate transparency and combat economic crime.
