The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS)<\/h2>\n

The CJRS has been extended until 31 March 2021.<\/p>\n

Employees will receive 80% of their current salary for hours worked, up to a maximum of \u00a32,500 for November and December (with a further review expected in January) and businesses will only be asked to cover National Insurance and employer pension contributions. Employees can be flexibly furloughed, enabling part-time working.<\/p>\n

The Job Retention Bonus (JRB)<\/h2>\n

The JRB was announced in July 2020 as a one-off payment to employers of \u00a31,000 for every employee for whom the employer had made a valid claim under the CJRS and who remains continuously employed. The JRB will no longer be paid as the CJRS has been extended until the end of March 2021.<\/p>\n

The Self Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS)<\/h2>\n

The SEISS grant extension provides critical support to the self-employed in the form of 2 further grants, each available for 3 month periods covering November 2020 to January 2021 and February 2021 to April 2021.<\/p>\n
