Warrington-based Legalfor<\/em>Landlords is following its successful\u00a0relocation and rebrand with a move to a bold, upfront tone of voice.\u00a0Its new campaign aims to present facts and figures as a wake-up\u00a0call to those sleepwalking through the property rental sector.<\/p>\n

The key messages apply to both letting agents and to landlords of all\u00a0sizes, but particularly to those more recent entrants to the sector, and to\u00a0the casual or accidental landlord. Talking about the approach, Sim\u00a0Sekhon, Legalfor<\/em>Landlords\u2019 MD, said, \u201cSadly, too many people fail to treat\u00a0the industry with the respect it deserves. They don\u2019t realise that their small\u00a0part of it needs to be run as a business. We want to highlight the huge\u00a0risks they face and their obligations. It\u2019s part of our vision of a responsible\u00a0and professional attitude throughout the whole sector.\u201d<\/p>\n

With statistics suggesting that many landlords are woefully underinsured\u00a0and ill-informed about property legislation, and agents facing court\u00a0appearances and hefty fines for failing to protect their landlord\u2019s interests,\u00a0the campaign is timely, but it\u2019s also one that can continually evolve. In a\u00a0sector that is in a state of constant change, there is always something new\u00a0and always someone who needs to be better informed.<\/p>\n
